Introduction
HRM FPX 5122 Assessment 2 Power Manufacturing Company (PMC) is currently experiencing a high level of turnover at its plants, and Plant Management and corporate management have responded. They are troubled by the situation and have delegated the Human Resources (HR) department to discover the root causes. As part of this initiative, HR has conducted surveys for employees in the plants to evaluate department leadership and gauge the company’s inclusive workplace culture. These surveys aim to gather valuable information that will help resolve the turnover problem and enhance leadership performance and employee motivation.

Rationale
HRM FPX 5122 Assessment 2 The survey of department leadership will enable HR to determine and quantify key leadership abilities and uncover areas for development. Questions and scaling techniques are designed to obtain measurable data about employees’ perceptions of leadership competencies that will enable HR to determine areas in which leadership development may be required. These kinds of surveys are essential tools for managers to gain more insight into what practices and behaviors employees value most, leading to improved leadership performance (Cox, 2019).
According to Gallup, 82% of the time, companies fail to bring in managers who have the right talent for the job (Adkins, 2015). High-engagement employees have management that not only values their talent but also promotes them to learn and develop. The surveys provide an insight into the quality of the leadership and allow PMC to align its management strategy with the needs of the employees.

Rationale
Diversity and inclusion are very important to today’s organizations. Over the last few years, businesses have seen growing pressure from society to focus on these concerns, and PMC is no different. With this survey, HR can gauge the extent to which leadership and the firm are responding to employee diversity and inclusion expectations. Open communication and transparent structures for addressing confidential matters will encourage a more inclusive workplace where workers feel secure and valued (Washington & Patrick, 2018).
With no inclusion, the interfaces to bring in diverse talent and promote innovation will never take place. This survey will give HR critical information on workers’ experiences and assist in building programs that advance inclusion and diversity within the corporation (Duris, 2018).
Recommendation
HR must develop a tracking mechanism that monitors employee demographics (i.e., gender, race, age) and hiring and promotion trends at PMC. This will provide a clear picture of how inclusive and diverse the workforce actually is and allow areas for improvement to be identified. Moreover, developing regular surveys will provide employees with the chance to provide feedback on leadership and work culture, helping PMC align its organizational culture and objectives with its workers’ values and expectations.
