Introduction
DB FPX 8405 Assessment 4 It is simple to identify business problems, but consenting to do the effort it takes to really break and solve them may not be always easy. Capra Tek possesses three business problems in three of the most crucial areas of its business. This business report replicates potential solutions for every one of the problems
Leadership
The organizational problem Capra Tek is experiencing with leadership is a lack of disaster preparedness training. To effectively address and potentially solve this problem, Capra Tek must incorporate a crisis leadership model into their existing leadership training model.
A Crisis Leadership Training Model
Garrido (2024) research established that organizational development is impossible without a solid plan and an effective leadership model framework. Applying the right model of crisis leadership training, however, not only can enable Capra Tek to survive business crises, but it can also set them up for success in the market. Change is a given, and preparation for change must be the organizational leadership training model’s priority. In the future, Capra Tek should not only be anticipating change but also getting its leaders at all levels ready for crisis management.
Applied Framework – A Crisis Leadership Training Model
A crisis management model, as per Marker (2020), is a theoretical framework that allows an organization to prepare for, prevent, manage, and recover from a crisis. Pre-crisis management incorporating the aspects of planning, documenting, training, and running mock crisis situations will always keep Capra Tek leaders adequately prepared for the next crisis. The relational model of crisis management (Figure 1) is based on the integrative perspective of crisis management (Jacques, 2007). Such an integrative perspective depends largely on crisis prevention and preparation for crisis. Both preparation and preparedness rely on the crisis leadership development model of the organization.
Mind Map
Mind mapping is an effective tool with a wide variety of uses. Some of these uses are brainstorming, outlining, gathering, and decision-making, states Scheiner (2004). Figure 2 (below) is a mind map which can be helpful in guiding Capra Tek in the establishment of a productive crisis leadership training model.
Information Systems
Relying on legacy information systems that are not able to properly communicate with a new database management tool is the second business problem Capra Tek is addressing. The solution to addressing this problem is through the creation of a model that can be used as part of the organizational digital transformation process.
Model
Addressing problems with new information system technology has to start with the people. A model that can be of use to Capra Tek in addressing this challenge is the ADKAR model. The name ADKAR refers to the five goals that individuals must fulfill in order to facilitate effective change (Pearson, n.d.). Those include awareness, desire, knowledge, ability, and reinforcement. Awareness of system users will certainly manifest as soon as any new information system is implemented. Early treatment of the expectations of the users (preferably pre-launch) will assist in the deployment of the goal strategies and targeted knowledge. Building a phased approach for training users about the new system will form the foundation of capability, and continuing training will be a great asset for reinforcement goal. Applying the ADKAR model will be a great asset for Capra Tek to use in resolving this business problem.
Marketing
Staying ahead of industry competition in marketing to millennials is the third business problem that Capra Tek is attempting to fix. The specific problem of this problem is that Capra Tek does not have a solid digital marketing strategy that resonates with millennials.
Model
Influencer marketing is the new word-of-mouth campaign model. Implementing the influencer marketing model is a great place for Capra Tek to begin fixing this business problem. Kumar et al. (2023) used the theory of planned behavior (Ajzen, 1991) and social learning theory (Bandura & Walters, 1963) as elements of their qualitative investigation to identify influencing factors of influencer marketing. The investigation identified several influencing attributes of influencer marketing that serve as foundations of consumer behavior. Among the key influencing features is that consumers are influenced by domain expertise information and brand love.
The first step in the planning process for the influencer marketing model is to engage key stakeholders. More specifically, key millennial stakeholders internal and external to Capra Tek. Engaging millennial stakeholders who are already employees of Capra Tek will give instant feedback as digital marketing ideas begin to be conceptualized. From conceptualization to formulating the requirements of a digital marketing strategy and to execution, millennial-led projects will give the most optimal outcomes.
Summary
Quoting the introduction, getting the job accomplished to tackle today’s business problems is never convenient. Success modeling is the proper starting point, but ideas are ideas until they are operationally executed. Capra Tek management must take due next steps, create required processes, and most importantly engage key stakeholders if it is sincerely interested in fixing the business problems discussed in this report.
